Number 1: Vans Score: 9.5/10

Vans Slip-On Vans Old Skool

The Vans Old Skools are solid, but the Slip-ons just feel a little more dialed-in. But to be fair, they both deserve the same score. They’ve got the perfect weight and a thin sole that really lets you feel the pedals. The slip-on design is clutch — no laces to get in your way. Easy on, easy off. They can really take a beating from my experience. I'd give these a strong 9.5/10. Affordable and crazy convenient.

Number 2: Puma Speedcat Score: 10/10

Puma Speedcat

If they weren’t so narrow for me personally, these would be top-tier. The pedal feel is unmatched, and the heel design gives insane throttle control. These are used by pro drivers around the world for a reason. If you don’t have wide feet like me, these are pretty much the gold standard.

Number 3: Converse Low Top: 9/10

Converse All Star Low Top

Fun fact: Paul Walker wore these in the very first *Fast & Furious* movie. These are my second favorite budget-friendly driving shoes. They’re super similar to Vans in how they feel, maybe even lighter. The sole is super thin, which is great for pedal feedback, but honestly... they might be *too* light. Vans hit that sweet spot better. Still, an iconic and functional choice.

Adidas Gazelle 8/10

Adidas Gazelle

Thin sole? Check. Lightweight? Check. Comfy to drive in? Triple check. The Gazelles are a great option if you’re team Adidas. The suede upper gives them a snug, cozy feel, and they hug your foot just right. The heel area could use a bit more support for smoother throttle control, but overall, they’re a solid pick for driving.
